Style Collage: It Dawned On Me

Hello! Today I decided to put to together a collage using the one of the cuff's from yesterday's Style Secrets and piece that has to do with Wednesday's Anne Analysis! I started off with one of my favorite cuff's from the list. The chic gold Dorothy Perkins cuff! I started thinking about what color I wanted to work with this gold. Lot's of colors go with gold. But it dawned on me that I beautiful and light peach would compliment it nicely! So I was off to search for the perfect hi-low dress. It came to me rather easily and I found a brilliant chiffon number! After the dress had been selected I decided that I better get started finding some shoes. They golden hue was stuck in my mind. So I searched all around looking for the right pair of heels. This was quite a bit harder than the dress, since I wanted to find the right hue and style to go with the dress and cuff. But I finally found them! A pair of Prada! Score! I was almost done. But something was missing. I needed more jewelry. But another bracelet seemed wrong. A ring didn't fit. A necklace looked silly.  A pair of earrings would be best. But everything came back all wrong. Everything looked to tacky! My search seemed pointless. Until....a pair of gold feather earrings came up. They were perfect! My collage was complete! And here it is:
Dress; LOVE Peach Chiffon Asymmetrical Maxi Dress, N/A inlovewithfashion.com  Earrings; Candie's Gold Tone Simulated Crystal Bead & Leopard Feather Linear Drop Earrings, $10 Kohl's  Cuff; Chunky gold look cuff, $17 dorothyperkins.com  Shoes; PRADA Rose Gold Strappy Sandal, $650 PRADA
Well there you have it! Until next time! Au revior!

Style Collage: Powerful in Peplum

Hello! As I'm sure you know, peplum is a really popular trend in the world of fashion right now! But what should you do to translate the peplum in couture to your everyday wear? Well this week I've decided to work it out! Today I started with a chic black peplum pencil skirt. To continue with the classy scheme, but add some flirtatious charm, I added a gorgeous red halter top to the set. Next comes the shoes. Now shoes can make or break a girl. Sure you want to strut your stuff, but there is such a thing as too much. In my search for the perfect shoes, I came across many different pairs. Patent sky-high pumps where thrown at me, towering wedges were tossed out there, sandals shouting for summer were flung in my direction, at first I was worried that the shoe of my dreams wasn't out there. But finally, after a worrisome search, I found the perfect pair! Some chic suede D&G laid back heels were the ideal shoes for this look! After my shoe search, I was off to a purse to hold all of the goodies a girl needs. However, a big bag did not seem like the right choice. Unlike my quest to find the flawless heels, the purse came to me almost instantly. A classic Kate Spade was what I needed. I added a few things that are essential things to pack, and then I was done! Here is the finished look:

Top; Chrissie Halter Top, $30 Coast  Skirt; Black Peplum Skirt, $57 Miss Selfridge  Purse; Gold Coast Meadow, $398 Kate Spade  Shoes; D&G Red Marilyn Suede Court Shoe, $385 D&G  Eyeshadow; Clé de Peau Beauté Eye Color Quad Refill -208, $55 Barney's  Lipstick; L'Absolu Rouge, $30 Lancome  Blush; Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush, $44 Nordstrom Mascara; Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Lashes Mascara, $26 Sephora  Lotion; Philosophy Sweet Talk Lotion, $24 Lord and Taylor  Soap; Philosophy Frosted Cookie High-foaming Shampoo, Shower Gel, & Bath Soap, $16 Nordstrom  Perfume 1; Lalique 2 Anemones Flacon, Black, $1,600 Bloomingdales Perfume 2; Dior Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle Eau De Toilette, $74 John Lewis  Sunglasses; Gucci Square-frame acetate sunglasses, $295 Net-A-Porter  Nail Polish; Dior 'Vernis' Nail Lacquer Or Divin 221 One Size, $23 Nordstrom  Photo; Ralph Lauren Holiday 2011, Models.com

Well I hope that helped! Until tomorrow! Au revior!

Style Collage: Royal in Blue

Hello! I've decided to make a Style Collage post to go with the previous Anne Analysis post. I really wanted to do something that was perfect for walks through the park. But of course, this post needed to have a bit of that beautifully bold blue that we were talking about. So, I started by looking for a really simple royal blue dress. I admit the search was hard. But the very last dress in the results, was the perfect one! After I had the dress, I went on to pick the prettiest garden-approriate tights. That search was easy! I found the most gorgeous Garden Hosiery Tights right away! After I had plucked the perfect tights for this fab outfit, I went on to the challenge of picking shoes. I wanted to feature some of that royal blue hue in the shoes, but it didn't look right with the dress and the tights. So I started leaning towards black shoes, but it looked too dark and heavy in comparison to the light and airy look I currently had. After much pondering, I decided to look at both coloured shoes and pick whichever looked the most marvelous. Thank goodness for Giuseppe Zanotti! He had the most spot-on black and blue velvet booties waiting for me! They were perfect! Black and blue! Glamorous and simple! I couldn't have asked for anything better! After I had found the right shoes for the collage, I went on to jewelry. The very first thing I saw was added to my collection without a thought! A gold chain necklace flaunted a charm, which was an exquisite crown placed inside of a square frame with beautifully detailed floral edges. It looked simply marvelous next to the dress! Afterwards, I decided to pick out a simple gold ring. Simplicity is beauty! Now for the actual beauty, I needed to pick out the perfect colour of lip pencil to pair with an already bold blue! Thank goodness for NYX! They had the perfect color of red for the job! And M.A.C had matching lipstick awaiting me! What luck! Now, here is the finished collage.

Dress; Mazarine in the Mezzanine Dress, $39.99 ModCloth  Necklace; Crown Jewelry Necklace, $14.99 ModCloth  Tights; Garden Hosiery Tights, $14.99 ModCloth  Lipstick; M·A·C Lipstick in Mac Red (if you want a bolder shade, try Ladybug Red. For a darker shade, use Desire) , $14.50 Nordstrom  Lip Pencil; NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Plush Red (for a darker shade, use Burgundy)  Shoes; GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI Velvet Veronica Booties, $556 (sale price. orignal: $795) SSense  Ring; Gorjana BFF Ring Set, $88 Revolve Clothing

Description: Strolling through the grounds, your dark blackish blue heels click against the stony pavement. Your garden perfect tights accentuate your prancing legs as you wind around the corner. Your royal blue wispy dress blows slightly in the faint breeze. Your golden crown necklace and simple gold band ring make you feel like royalty! As you look down into the stirring waters of the fish pond, you can clearly see your perfect light red lips sparkling in the ripples. Life is good, and you enjoy it!

Until next time! Enjoy the start of a new week!
