Style Collage: Blood Red Beauty

Ready for Halloween? I am! In the spirit of things I decided to make a look inspired by a blood red beauty. A vampire! I started with a bright red ModCloth dress. Afterwards I was on the hunt for some killer heels. Once I had them in my grasp, I decided to get some scream worthy make up. I slinked through the stores trying to find the perfect lipstick when I spotted an UltraFlesh Perfect Reds 6-Piece Set. A perfect collection of beautiful bloody hues, it was freakishly perfect. Though I already had lipstick, I still felt the need to grab some blood red colored Twilight Venom lipstain/lipgloss. Then, I was off trick-or-treating for some eye products. I'm not a big fan of false eyelashes but I felt drawn to some dazzling ones. Once I had added some fine eyeliner my makeup was complete. The last piece off this look was a captivating ruby ring. Here is the complete collage.

Style Collage: Mustard

Mustard is considered a must-have color this fall. I admit that I was struggling for a bit with finding how to work such a vibrant color. But I am proud to say I came through successful! I started putting together the look by choosing a mod mustard blouse. It looked a bit dated so I added some cute Yves Saint Laurent t-strap heels and black skinny jeans to make it more modern. Afterwards, I added a chic black quilted purse and sunglasses. I didn't want to become a bumblebee, so I was ecstatic when I found a gorgeous peacock ring from ModCloth. It fit right in! For makeup I picked out one of my perfume staples for the scent, Estee Lauder's Pleasures. For the finishing touch, I added a light coral lipgloss. Here is the complete collage.

Shirt; Chloé SILK BLOUSE, $685 Mytheresa.com  Pants; The Stilt, $172 AG Jeans  Sunglasses; Super Sunglasses People Sunglasses, $150 Shopbop.com  Lipgloss; Sue Devitt Microquatic Lip Enhancing Gloss in Coral Sea, $22 Beauty.com  Purse; Kate Spade New York Gold Coast Maryanne 2, $445 Zappos Couture  Perfume; Estee Lauder Pleasures Eau de Perfume Spray, $30-75 Estee Lauder  Ring; One Eye on the Pea-clock Ring, $11.99 ModCloth.com  Shoes; Yves Saint Laurent YSL Tribute Platform Sandals, $795 Saks Fifth Avenue

Style Collage: C is for Caramel

C is for caramel! Debating upon what to get inspiration from, I chose something probably not expected. Instead of the usual mouth watering candy or tongue tingling dessert, I chose a painting of caramel mountains. After picking my inspiration, I went to find my second inspiration. A shirt with a graphic of a girl wearing a headress! It looked so unique and perfect that I had to have it! Afterwards, I went on to get some cool feather earrings. Once I had the earrings, I went on to scoop up some cute caramel colored skinny jeans. They fit just right! Next, I picked out matching caramel colored patent pumps. Then I was off to grab some chic wood and turquoise bangles. I topped off the look with earthy blush and caramel colored lipstick. Here is the complete collage.

Shirt; Headdress Girl Graphic Tank, $19.99 Charlotte Russe  Earrings; Gilded Lily Goods Caramel Feather Earrings, $80 Pink Mascara  Lipstick; LAURA MERCIER Crème Lip Colour in Caramel, $22 Lord & Taylor  Bracelets; Jewelry - Style Tryst Callie Bracelet Set, $48 National Jean Co.  Blush; Larenim Innocence Blush, $20.99 Smallflower  Jeans; James Jeans Twiggy Corduroys in Caramel, $109.99 Piperlime  Shoes; Alejandro Ingelmo Grace Platform Pumps, $495 Shopbop.com

Style Collage: B is for Books (Alice in Wonderland)

When I found the marvelous books with their detailed covers, I fell in love with Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland. White with hot pink flamingos playing croquet, the cover immediately inspired me. I started by finding a pretty tiered white dress. Afterwards, I needed to add a hot pink sash to the dress. One I found one I decided to look at shoes. I was stuck on a striking pair of Alexander McQueen hot pink peep toe wedges. I couldn't resist them. Once I made sure that they worked, I went to find some whimsical jewelry. The first place I looked was Betsey Johnson. I was right to look there. I had the perfect pair of earrings within a few minutes, and I quickly went on in search of a white rabbit ring. While searching I fell upon a must-have necklace. An intricate glass bottle labeled "Drink Me" looked perfect. To top off the look I added some tubes of lipgloss. Here is the complete look:

Alice fell down the rabbit hole again! But this time she's ready! Decked out in a stunning outfit, she slips through the door in the wall. Her "Drink Me" necklace is perfect for if she has a bit of a growth issue later on. She quickly impressed the white rabbit with her chic ring. When meeting her hosts at the Mad Tea Party she fit right in with her whimsical mismatched tea set earrings. The red queen quickly grew envious of Alice's stunning ensemble and striking shoes. But before she could shout, "Off with her head!!!", Alice woke up. Still looking as perfect as ever.

Runaway to the Runway: Betsey Johnson Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear

Victorian collars and animal prints were everywhere! Edgy leather pants were paired with tailored coats! Lacy dresses were paired with colorful heels and zebra stockings! Black corsets were paired with zebra scoop neck shirts! Ruffles danced on the models. Zebra muffs and shawls kept the model warm as she showed off her cute skirt. Betsey's classic boom box sweater was partnered with stand out pants. Cheetah suits were strutted in. Red Cami's, fur coats, black ankle boots, and red and black cheetah print stockings were mixed-and-matched perfectly. Flowy flowered skirts, plaid corsets, and green laced up boots were not hard to miss. Comfy skull sweaters and matching skirts popped. Colorful flower jumpsuits jumped at the audience. The last model, in his edgy red and black striped dress, wore my favorite outfit. Betsey topped the show off with her signature cartwheel and huge flowers. Betsey Johnson has fall down pat. Have you?
