Style Collage: F is for Faux Fur

Hello! As winter approaches, you know that F is for faux fur! It's just enough to keep you warm without any animals ending up hibernating for a long long time. Anybody who knows me should know I despise fur and the killing of animals! I am full-on against it! But faux fur, I can handle. Now for today's collage, I decided to do something with hot pink, just because I thought it was a very contrasting color to winter's palette. So, I started this collage with a hot pink v-neck long sleeved shirt. Afterwards, I decided to add a super cute faux fur sleeveless shrug. It looked great with the shirt I had picked out! For pants, I decided that simple dark skinny jeans would suffice for the look. I knew white faux fur trimmed boots were a must have for this ensemble! And it was just a matter of picking the right ones. After a bit of a search, I had finally come up with them! Some stylish and warm white Bebe boots with tassels to much the shrug were a perfect fit! After I had those wonders in my collection, I was off to find some cute sunglasses that would be perfect for relaxing in the snowy Alps. It didn't take very long to find the right pair! Once I had completed that task, I went on to finish the look with some warm pink hued lipstick and blush. I found both sufficiently quick after an easy search! The winter wonderland outfit was finished! Here is the complete collage.

Until next time! Au revior!

Style Collage: Boudoir Style

Hello world! I have some things that are a little bit different from my other posts to share today. The first is that I have decided to attach a photo that inspired the collage I produced. The other is the style of the collage I assembled. I am sure the title gave you a clue as to what you might expect ;). I admit I was rather hesitant about writing this post, but the collage looked so beautiful that I simple HAD to share it! Are you ready? Good! Let's start by sharing my inspirational photo (I actually already had this photo on hand as a piece of inspiration).

I started putting together this look with gorgeous silk and chiffon "dress". After that, I decided to add a little mystery. So I added the most luxurious of black silk trenches! For accessories, I picked out some very beautiful pearl drop earrings. For the shoes, I was thrilled to find some 'Fierce' strappy heels! They were perfect! I am not quite sure whether or not champagne glasses count as an accessory, but let's just include them in the party :). On to the makeup! For the eyeshadow, I had trouble choosing which palette to go with. I finally decided upon a silver Dior (thinking that it should be applied VERY lightly so as to create a shimmer and not a matte eye). However, there were a number of pinks and skin-toned hues to choose from for those who prefer the skin like colours. After I had the eyeshadow done, I decided to add an eyeliner pencil. Just for a hint of mystery and seductiveness. Now, I don't care for false eyelashes. They always seem tacky and fake to me. But in this instance, these "if you can't take it, just fake it" lashes looked exquisite! And they looked marvelous with the rest of the look! So I let them pass. After I had made an exception for those fantastic faux lashes, I was off to pick out a lipgloss with the perfect nude hue to suit the "dress". Though it took a bit of a search, I finally found it. The perfect gloss! However, I am sad to report that I have lost my notes regarding the product information for those wishing to purchase it :(. After the lips were taken care of, I just needed the finishing touch to polish off my greatly anticipated collage. The perfume. There are two ways to go when it comes to "sultry" scents. The first path can take you to a rather cheap and unpolished place. The second path however, can take you to place of sensual luxury. I of course, chose the second path. And at the end of that road lay Gucci's Guilty Intense perfume. I had heard about it, and the following description (quoted from Macy's website) made me certain of my choice (I admit the scent I would later smell helped me be sure of my choice as well): "Gucci Guilty Intense is a twist from the successful Guilty scent you know, made more intense, provocative and sensual. The floral signature of the lilac flower has been enriched with violet accents and made even more feminine with hints of powdery notes. The addictive patchouli and ambery dry down has been greatly enhanced for a darker and more provocative trail. Experience Gucci Guilty Intense with this 2.5 oz Eau de Parfum Spray.". Okay, I think I have made you wait to long for the collage! So here it is:

Style Collage: E is for Earth

Hello! I am very sorry for the delay in posts. I have caught a bug that has been keeping me in bed :(. I am quite better this morning though! So I am amped up and ready to present to you today's style collage! When hearing the word "earth", your mind can go in many different directions. Mine wandered off to hippies! For some reason I have lately been enchanted by hippie inspired looks and boho iteams. But I always need a bit of an edge to make it more me. So I started off this earthy beauty with an edgy bangle set, some hippie edgy gladiator sandals, and a mini dress with a fab print! After having these three iteams on hand, I had very little left to do in order to finish my look. To complete the accessories, I just needed to add the simplest of hoops. That let me finish off my work in the accessories department. Then I went on to tackle the category that would cause me the most work. Makeup! For the lips I didn't want to go for a pale color. Instead I went towards a rich dark tone. And I must say that it goes perfectly!!! For the eyeshadow I wanted some deep earthy tones but I wanted the option of color. I was in luck when I found the perfect palettes for this look! For the last piece of this collage, I needed a good perfume to top it all off. I was ecstatic to find True Religion's Hippy Chic perfume. It fit right in! Here is the complete collage.

Eyeshadow; Tarte Puttin' On The Glitz Limited-Edition Color Collection & Purse, $48 Ulta  Dress; Cobra Mini Dress, $110 All Saints  Perfume; True Religion True Religion Hippy Chic, $59 Ulta  Earrings; Sleek hoop earring, $7.99 Coldwater Creek  Bracelets; Multi Skinny Bangle Set, $34 Bebe  Shoes; Matt Bernson Women's KM Gladiator Sandal in Brown Soft Veg or Brown Oil, $102-176 Amazon.com  Lipgloss; MAC Pro Longwear Lustre in Night Rose, $22 Dilliards

Style Collage: Vampire Weekend Vixen

Hello world! Do you know what tomorrow is? Of course you do! Tomorrow's Friday! I have a wonderful collage planned, but today I have something different to share. Today's look is inspired by a certain New York originating band called Vampire Weekend. A mix of indie, rock, and pop music; this band is always filling up my home with their melodious music. The look started out with a simple yet iconic "I Love New York" T-shirt. I added a pair of cute skinny jeans afterwards. Not wanting to go to casual I added a fab black blazer. For shoes, I felt that I needed some rad ankle boots. I was in luck! A pair of studded Stuart Weitzman boots awaited me at Neiman Marcus. For accessories I was ecstatic to find the perfect earrings. Adorable taxi cab studs from Betsey Johnson! I needed something that featured the glorious Statue of Liberty. I was glad to find a cute black watch with a simple Statue of Liberty face to fit my needs. For makeup, I wanted to use something more dramatic and edgy. Thank goodness I knew just what I needed. American flag decorated lips! Not wanting to go overboard on the drama, I topped off the look with some basic black eyeliner. Here is the complete collage.
