Style Collage: All Things Bright, Bold, and Beautiful

I love all things bright, bold, and beautiful and was inspired to create this look. I started by picking out two items with bold prints. One was an Oscar de le Renta shift dress and the other was a houndstooth sequin skirt. Next, I quickly grabbed a simple black tank to pair with the glittery skirt. Afterwards I decided to scoop up some bright accessories. I red glittery clutch, red and gold flower ring, and a red and gold bangle were my options. Unable to choose, I decided to get them all. This made the outfit perfectly mix-and-match capable. For the lips, a red color was a must. The eye catching gold container helped me pick out this lipstick. Lastly, red patent pumps became the finishing touch to this bold look. Here is the complete collage.

Creative Concoctions: 8/13

This weeks Creative Concoction is a preppy punk ensemble using a white blouse, a black pinstriped vest with red buttons, black leggings with silver studs on the side, a handmade bracelet, and some cute shoes. I wore silver eyeshadow to accent the studs and a lipstick with a red hue to accent the buttons on the vest.
What do you think?

Style Collage: Sophisticated Sapphire

Inspired by Gucci's jewels (as seen in Runaway to the Runway: Gucci Fall 2011), this look is centered around a gorgeous sapphire blue Jason Wu gown. After I found that beautiful gem of a gown, I picked out an eye catching Elanor Hair Piece. Afterwards, I seized up some dazzling Blue Nile sapphire and diamond earrings and a ring. I decided to grab some Huarache platform heels for the shoes. For the simple clutch I selected a chic Jimmy Choo. When it came to lipstick, I found a luscious plum by Boots No7. A smoky eye was deemed necessary so a brilliant palette by Christian Dior was chosen. Lastly, a bottle of J'adore perfume by Christian Dior was added. Here is the complete collage.

Hair piece; Elanor Hair Piece, Aftershock  Dress; Jason Wu Rebecca Silk-charmeuse and chiffon gown, $3,995 Net-a-Porter  Ring; Sapphire and Diamond Ring in 18k White Gold, $8,000 Blue Nile  Earrings; Pear-Shaped Sapphire and Diamond Drop Earrings in 18k White Gold, $1,350 Blue Nile  Eyeshadow; Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Mystic Smokys 004, $59 Sephora  Perfume; Dior J'adore Eau De Toilette Spray, $65 ULTA  Lipstick; Boots No7 Mineral Lipstick in Sweet Plum, $9.99 Target  Purse; Jimmy Choo "Rivera" Grainy Black Clutch Bag, $795 Shirise  Shoes; Huarache platform heels, $160-$168 J-Crew

Runaway to the Runway: Gucci Fall 2011

Rich jeweled colored tones, furs, and polka dots where everywhere! Emerald greens swallowed the stage! Blue dresses rippled to the floor! Royal purples clashed against deep greens creating a brilliant contrast! Ruby reds flew across the stage! Cobalt blues were paired with teal polka dot scarves! The models where enveloped in furs of all sizes and colors. The audience was captivated at each movement of the gowns as they flowed down the runway. A gorgeous magenta gown swept me away along with a chic outfit involving a black trench coat and a black and white polka dot scarf. Gucci is prepared for fall. Are you?

Style Collage: Fab Fall

Fall is around the corner and today's outfit is centered around it's fashion scene. Using fall's upcoming trends, this outfit is perfect for fall. Using a red, black, and white color scheme this outfit is fantastic. Let's begin! I decided to start with the peplum jacket trend. I went to Burberry to find the perfect jacket, and I was in luck. You might need a cute and comfy sweater for underneath, but one is not pictured here. I decided to use the bright pants trend to my advantage and paired the adorable jacket with an adorable eye-popping pant. I found the perfect pair by J Brand. Afterwards I went to sweep up some chic Miu Miu pumps. For accessories I grabbed a white Michael Kors watch, a pair of edgy Marc Jacobs studs, and a black Coach purse. I decided to counter the bright pants with some light pink lips using some Estee Lauder lipstick. The final touch was some deep dark eyeshadow also by Estee Lauder. Here is the complete look.

Watch; PU Chronograph Watch, $195 Michael Kors  Jacket; Grangehill Hooded Parka, $750 Burberry Brit  Earrings; Classic Marc Enamel Logo Disc Studs, $48 Marc by Marc Jacobs  Eyeshadow; Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowCreme in Midnight Kohl, $17.50 Dillard's  Pants; J Brand 811 Mid-Rise Skinny Leg in Bright Red, $176  Singer 22  Lipstick; Estee Lauder All Day Lipstick in Caffe Latte (Spiced Cider is recommend if looking for a darker shade), $17.50 Dillard's  Shoes; Miu Miu Black Suede Platform Pumps in black, $380 BlueFly Purse; Chelsea Leather Jayden Carryall, $358 Coach

Style Secrets

This weeks Style Secret is the popular store, Charlotte Russe. You are probably rolling your eyes right now and saying, "Come one, it's a teen store!". While Charlotte Russe may be seem to be mainly directed towards fashionable teens, you can get decent priced, good quality clothing that's more mature too. Today I'm going to post an outfit perfect for work and the weekend, using this week's featured trend on Anne Analysis, that is made up entirely of Charlotte Russe products. Let's get started.

I started with this adorable Beaded V-Neck Leopard Top for $22.99.

Then I decided that in order to blend work into this ensemble, I would need to add a more subdued, chic blazer. This is one is a sleek Ruched Sleeve Crop Blazer for $39.50.

Next, I moved onto the bottoms. I decided to go with this cute Bandage Panel Millennium Skirt for $19.99. It was be perfect for an office or a party.

Afterwards, I moved onto shoes. Mixing fun, flirty, and business together this pictured Front Color Block Pump for $22.50 was a must-have accessory.

I decided I needed some simple jewelry to counteract from the very busy embellishments on the top. I chose this Textured Hoop Earring Trio for $4.

If you need a little more of a savings push, Charlotte Russe has happy hours, jewelry for only $4, and more to help you save money. See you next time!

Style Collage: Black Lace (Wine Tasting)

You feel all eyes on you as you swirl the Bordeaux colored wine. They follow suit while examining your marvelous lace dress and your bold red lips. While you inhale the rich sent, their eyes glance downwards at your lace heels. As your head tilts backwards slightly while you sip they marvel at your matching black satin bow and your silky eyeshadow. Your silver bangle falls back into place when you lower the glass, all eyes staring at the simple pattern of it. Perfect for a wine tasting event or a date night, this beautiful black lace inspired look will make you look dark, chic, and fabulous!

Anne Analysis: Leopard Print

From the runways, to the streets, and even this very blog, leopard print seems to be everywhere! Flattering for different shapes sizes, skin tones, and style types, leopard print is a must have for any wardrobe. In Anne Analysis, I analyzed a style different than my own as well as my own to show you some examples of how leopard print is purely purrrr-fect.

My general style and aesthetic has been described by many. "Preppy-punk", a "punk or goth spin", and many others are how some people describe my style and aesthetic. I describe it like this: almost always glamorous with a twist. Usually a dark twist. I favor a darker, edgier, and punker color palette as well most pieces themselves. I will adapt to have full-on punk or goth style at times but prefer to blend it and mix it with other styles including (my favorites) vintage and mod. Let's analyze some pieces that mix-and-match leopard print and style.

Articles

Hello! Before I kick off my blog, I'd like to explain the main idea of each article. Let's start with Style Collage. Posted Monday and Thursday, Style Collage is centered around a collage of pieces put together to form an outfit. Color palettes, coordinating accessories, and other various essentials for the outfit  are displayed as well as a description and the whereabouts of where you may purchase items shown. Anne Analysis and Runaway to the Runway alternate Wednesdays. Anne Analysis analyzes a popular trend, a designer, a collection, a question produced by followers, and many other fashion related subjects. Using pictures, interviews, videos, and more I'll be able to expand my ability to communicate with my followers and the general public on these topics and many others. Runaway to the Runway talks about recent runway shows and their collections. It helps those who adore couture to feel right at home along with those who are more at ease with ready to wear; right on the same blog. Creative Concoctions are posted on Saturdays. This article shows an outfit that I have put together expressing my point of view and helping produce ideas for outfits for others. Lastly, Style Secrets is posted on Sunday. Style Secrets posts pictures outfits using pieces more affordable for those who love fashion for less. You'll get to know the secret locations of my finds so you can look fabulous when the next weekend comes around. I thank you for your time and look forward to seeing this blog grow. Please feel free to comment, see you soon!

Introduction

Hello, my name is Anne. Ever since I was a little girl I've had a passion for fashion.  In kindergarten, we were given time to draw. I drew myself of course, as did many other classmates. Most kids had produced scrawny stick figures with large round bulbous heads, thin stiff legs, and usually baring no clothes. I, on the other hand, was modeling a purple shift dress with matching nails and crimson lips. We continued the day with a famous question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?". When it was my turn I showed them my drawing and replied, "A fashion designer." They questioned me, asking if I was sure of my choice. Of course I was! They merely smiled at me, nodding their heads, sure that I would quickly change my mind. In first grade we were asked again. Most kids had changed their responses, but mine had stayed the same. Each year I grew more determined to have a place in the fashion world. By second grade I had thought up a name for my brand, created a logo, and studied many trends. I worked furiously, sketching away and recreating visions of designs as well as picking up fashion books. Before long I was judging many designers on fashion shows, watching recordings of runways, studying every detail of every work, challenging myself to create pieces along with designers on Project Runway, and teaching myself to hand-sew. I was extremely eager and quickly excited to pursue the idea of creating a fashion blog. I have created 6 types of articles to be featured here. Style Collage, Anne Analysis, Runaway to the Runway, Creative Concoction, and Style Secrets. A daily blog, one of the feature articles shall be posted every day. I hope you enjoy this blog and my passion for fashion.
