Style Collage: Royal in Blue

Hello! I've decided to make a Style Collage post to go with the previous Anne Analysis post. I really wanted to do something that was perfect for walks through the park. But of course, this post needed to have a bit of that beautifully bold blue that we were talking about. So, I started by looking for a really simple royal blue dress. I admit the search was hard. But the very last dress in the results, was the perfect one! After I had the dress, I went on to pick the prettiest garden-approriate tights. That search was easy! I found the most gorgeous Garden Hosiery Tights right away! After I had plucked the perfect tights for this fab outfit, I went on to the challenge of picking shoes. I wanted to feature some of that royal blue hue in the shoes, but it didn't look right with the dress and the tights. So I started leaning towards black shoes, but it looked too dark and heavy in comparison to the light and airy look I currently had. After much pondering, I decided to look at both coloured shoes and pick whichever looked the most marvelous. Thank goodness for Giuseppe Zanotti! He had the most spot-on black and blue velvet booties waiting for me! They were perfect! Black and blue! Glamorous and simple! I couldn't have asked for anything better! After I had found the right shoes for the collage, I went on to jewelry. The very first thing I saw was added to my collection without a thought! A gold chain necklace flaunted a charm, which was an exquisite crown placed inside of a square frame with beautifully detailed floral edges. It looked simply marvelous next to the dress! Afterwards, I decided to pick out a simple gold ring. Simplicity is beauty! Now for the actual beauty, I needed to pick out the perfect colour of lip pencil to pair with an already bold blue! Thank goodness for NYX! They had the perfect color of red for the job! And M.A.C had matching lipstick awaiting me! What luck! Now, here is the finished collage.

Dress; Mazarine in the Mezzanine Dress, $39.99 ModCloth  Necklace; Crown Jewelry Necklace, $14.99 ModCloth  Tights; Garden Hosiery Tights, $14.99 ModCloth  Lipstick; M·A·C Lipstick in Mac Red (if you want a bolder shade, try Ladybug Red. For a darker shade, use Desire) , $14.50 Nordstrom  Lip Pencil; NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Plush Red (for a darker shade, use Burgundy)  Shoes; GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI Velvet Veronica Booties, $556 (sale price. orignal: $795) SSense  Ring; Gorjana BFF Ring Set, $88 Revolve Clothing

Description: Strolling through the grounds, your dark blackish blue heels click against the stony pavement. Your garden perfect tights accentuate your prancing legs as you wind around the corner. Your royal blue wispy dress blows slightly in the faint breeze. Your golden crown necklace and simple gold band ring make you feel like royalty! As you look down into the stirring waters of the fish pond, you can clearly see your perfect light red lips sparkling in the ripples. Life is good, and you enjoy it!

Until next time! Enjoy the start of a new week!

Style Collage: F is for Faux Fur

Hello! As winter approaches, you know that F is for faux fur! It's just enough to keep you warm without any animals ending up hibernating for a long long time. Anybody who knows me should know I despise fur and the killing of animals! I am full-on against it! But faux fur, I can handle. Now for today's collage, I decided to do something with hot pink, just because I thought it was a very contrasting color to winter's palette. So, I started this collage with a hot pink v-neck long sleeved shirt. Afterwards, I decided to add a super cute faux fur sleeveless shrug. It looked great with the shirt I had picked out! For pants, I decided that simple dark skinny jeans would suffice for the look. I knew white faux fur trimmed boots were a must have for this ensemble! And it was just a matter of picking the right ones. After a bit of a search, I had finally come up with them! Some stylish and warm white Bebe boots with tassels to much the shrug were a perfect fit! After I had those wonders in my collection, I was off to find some cute sunglasses that would be perfect for relaxing in the snowy Alps. It didn't take very long to find the right pair! Once I had completed that task, I went on to finish the look with some warm pink hued lipstick and blush. I found both sufficiently quick after an easy search! The winter wonderland outfit was finished! Here is the complete collage.
Shirt; Three Dots 1x1 Cotton Modal L/S Deep V-Neck w/ Pleated Trim, $19.99-$21.99 6PM.com  Jeans; The Stilt, $210 AG Jeans  Shrug; Kensie Sleeveless Faux Fur Shrug in Just Nude, $58 Nordstrom  Lipstick; Bobbi Brown '20th Anniversary' Lip Palette, $60 Nordstrom  Sunglasses; Oakley Sunglasses, Gascan, $100 Macy's  Blush; Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Blush in Fruit Cocktail, $19 Macy's  Boots; Rafa Faux Fur Trim Logo Boot, $119 Bebe

Description: Though winter may be here, you'll look warm and cozy in your hot pink hues and faux fur. Your rosy cheeks give off that healthy glow given by the high altitude and freezing temperatures. Your lips are decked out in warm colors, giving them attitude. And your chic sunglasses let all the other snowboarder's know that though you look sweet, you mean business.

Until next time! Au revior!

Style Collage: Boudoir Style

Hello world! I have some things that are a little bit different from my other posts to share today. The first is that I have decided to attach a photo that inspired the collage I produced. The other is the style of the collage I assembled. I am sure the title gave you a clue as to what you might expect ;). I admit I was rather hesitant about writing this post, but the collage looked so beautiful that I simple HAD to share it! Are you ready? Good! Let's start by sharing my inspirational photo (I actually already had this photo on hand as a piece of inspiration).

I started putting together this look with gorgeous silk and chiffon "dress". After that, I decided to add a little mystery. So I added the most luxurious of black silk trenches! For accessories, I picked out some very beautiful pearl drop earrings. For the shoes, I was thrilled to find some 'Fierce' strappy heels! They were perfect! I am not quite sure whether or not champagne glasses count as an accessory, but let's just include them in the party :). On to the makeup! For the eyeshadow, I had trouble choosing which palette to go with. I finally decided upon a silver Dior (thinking that it should be applied VERY lightly so as to create a shimmer and not a matte eye). However, there were a number of pinks and skin-toned hues to choose from for those who prefer the skin like colours. After I had the eyeshadow done, I decided to add an eyeliner pencil. Just for a hint of mystery and seductiveness. Now, I don't care for false eyelashes. They always seem tacky and fake to me. But in this instance, these "if you can't take it, just fake it" lashes looked exquisite! And they looked marvelous with the rest of the look! So I let them pass. After I had made an exception for those fantastic faux lashes, I was off to pick out a lipgloss with the perfect nude hue to suit the "dress". Though it took a bit of a search, I finally found it. The perfect gloss! However, I am sad to report that I have lost my notes regarding the product information for those wishing to purchase it :(. After the lips were taken care of, I just needed the finishing touch to polish off my greatly anticipated collage. The perfume. There are two ways to go when it comes to "sultry" scents. The first path can take you to a rather cheap and unpolished place. The second path however, can take you to place of sensual luxury. I of course, chose the second path. And at the end of that road lay Gucci's Guilty Intense perfume. I had heard about it, and the following description (quoted from Macy's website) made me certain of my choice (I admit the scent I would later smell helped me be sure of my choice as well): "Gucci Guilty Intense is a twist from the successful Guilty scent you know, made more intense, provocative and sensual. The floral signature of the lilac flower has been enriched with violet accents and made even more feminine with hints of powdery notes. The addictive patchouli and ambery dry down has been greatly enhanced for a darker and more provocative trail. Experience Gucci Guilty Intense with this 2.5 oz Eau de Parfum Spray.". Okay, I think I have made you wait to long for the collage! So here it is:

Trench Coat; Emanuel Ungaro Duchess silk-satin trench, $886 (Sale Price. Original Price; $4,430 TheOutnet.com  Eyelashes; Napoleon Perdis Lash Patrol Strip #747 M, $9 Ulta  Dress; Julien Macdonald Lace-detailed silk-chiffon dress, $1,538 (Sale Price. Original Price; $4,395) TheOutnet.com  Perfume;  Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum, 2.5 oz, $102 Macy's  Earrings; Carolee Pave Loop & Pearl Drop Earrings, $45 Dillard's  Champagne Glass; Champagne Flute - Unbreakable Polycarbonate by Prodyne, $4.99 Cooking.com  Shoes; Badgley Mischka black satin 'Fierce' strappy sandals, $122 Bluefly.com  Eyeliner; Elizabeth Arden Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil, $16 Dillard's  Eyeshadow; Dior 1-Colour Extreme in Chrome, $28.50 Bloomingdale's

Description: Sultry. Mysterious. Seductive. Luxurious. Sensual. It's all part of the look. Can you work it?

Hope the wait was worth it! Until next time! Au revior!

Style Collage: E is for Earth

Hello! I am very sorry for the delay in posts. I have caught a bug that has been keeping me in bed :(. I am quite better this morning though! So I am amped up and ready to present to you today's style collage! When hearing the word "earth", your mind can go in many different directions. Mine wandered off to hippies! For some reason I have lately been enchanted by hippie inspired looks and boho iteams. But I always need a bit of an edge to make it more me. So I started off this earthy beauty with an edgy bangle set, some hippie edgy gladiator sandals, and a mini dress with a fab print! After having these three iteams on hand, I had very little left to do in order to finish my look. To complete the accessories, I just needed to add the simplest of hoops. That let me finish off my work in the accessories department. Then I went on to tackle the category that would cause me the most work. Makeup! For the lips I didn't want to go for a pale color. Instead I went towards a rich dark tone. And I must say that it goes perfectly!!! For the eyeshadow I wanted some deep earthy tones but I wanted the option of color. I was in luck when I found the perfect palettes for this look! For the last piece of this collage, I needed a good perfume to top it all off. I was ecstatic to find True Religion's Hippy Chic perfume. It fit right in! Here is the complete collage.

Eyeshadow; Tarte Puttin' On The Glitz Limited-Edition Color Collection & Purse, $48 Ulta  Dress; Cobra Mini Dress, $110 All Saints  Perfume; True Religion True Religion Hippy Chic, $59 Ulta  Earrings; Sleek hoop earring, $7.99 Coldwater Creek  Bracelets; Multi Skinny Bangle Set, $34 Bebe  Shoes; Matt Bernson Women's KM Gladiator Sandal in Brown Soft Veg or Brown Oil, $102-176 Amazon.com  Lipgloss; MAC Pro Longwear Lustre in Night Rose, $22 Dilliards

Description: You can be richly subtle like the earthy ground beneath us, or loud and wild like the rolling thunder! You can be a simple and quite hill, or a rocky mountain grazing the heavens! Whatever you prefer, make sure you stay a true earthy beauty.

Until next time! See you later!

Hello! Thank goodness it's Friday! And I have a fabulous look to present to you! Designed so you can go out and party or chill with your friends, this look is perfect for Friday's. I started the look with a pair of shoes. They were very daring shoes so I needed something casual so the look wasn't just an outfit for going out. Hello world! Do you know what tomorrow is? Of course you do! Tomorrow's Friday! I have a wonderful collage planned, but today I have something different to share. Today's look is inspired by a certain New York originating band called Vampire Weekend. A mix of indie, rock, and pop music; this band is always filling up my home with their melodious music. The look started out with a simple yet iconic "I Love New York" T-shirt. I added a pair of cute skinny jeans afterwards. Not wanting to go to casual I added a fab black blazer. For shoes, I felt that I needed some rad ankle boots. I was in luck! A pair of studded Stuart Weitzman boots awaited me at Neiman Marcus. For accessories I was ecstatic to find the perfect earrings. Adorable taxi cab studs from Betsey Johnson! I needed something that featured the glorious Statue of Liberty. I was glad to find a cute black watch with a simple Statue of Liberty face to fit my needs. For makeup, I wanted to use something more dramatic and edgy. Thank goodness I knew just what I needed. Style Collage: Mustard

Mustard is considered a must-have color this fall. I admit that I was struggling for a bit with finding how to work such a vibrant color. But I am proud to say I came through successful! I started putting together the look by choosing a mod mustard blouse. It looked a bit dated so I added some cute Yves Saint Laurent t-strap heels and black skinny jeans to make it more modern. Afterwards, I added a chic black quilted purse and sunglasses. I didn't want to become a bumblebee, so I was ecstatic when I found a gorgeous peacock ring from ModCloth. It fit right in! For makeup I picked out one of my perfume staples for the scent, Estee Lauder's Pleasures. For the finishing touch, I added a light coral lipgloss. Here is the complete collage.

Style Collage: C is for Caramel

C is for caramel! Debating upon what to get inspiration from, I chose something probably not expected. Instead of the usual mouth watering candy or tongue tingling dessert, I chose a painting of caramel mountains. After picking my inspiration, I went to find my second inspiration. A shirt with a graphic of a girl wearing a headress! It looked so unique and perfect that I had to have it! Afterwards, I went on to get some cool feather earrings. Once I had the earrings, I went on to scoop up some cute caramel colored skinny jeans. They fit just right! Next, I picked out matching caramel colored patent pumps. Then I was off to grab some chic wood and turquoise bangles. I topped off the look with earthy blush and caramel colored lipstick. Here is the complete collage.

When I found the marvelous books with their detailed covers, I fell in love with Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland. White with hot pink flamingos playing croquet, the cover immediately inspired me. I started by finding a pretty tiered white dress. Afterwards, I needed to add a hot pink sash to the dress. One I found one I decided to look at shoes. I was stuck on a striking pair of Alexander McQueen hot pink peep toe wedges. I couldn't resist them. Once I made sure that they worked, I went to find some whimsical jewelry. Runaway to the Runway: Betsey Johnson Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear

Victorian collars and animal prints were everywhere! Edgy leather pants were paired with tailored coats! Lacy dresses were paired with colorful heels and zebra stockings! Black corsets were paired with zebra scoop neck shirts! Ruffles danced on the models. Zebra muffs and shawls kept the model warm as she showed off her cute skirt. Betsey's classic boom box sweater was partnered with stand out pants. Cheetah suits were strutted in. Red Cami's, fur coats, black ankle boots, and red and black cheetah print stockings were mixed-and-matched perfectly. Flowy flowered skirts, plaid corsets, and green laced up boots were not hard to miss. Comfy skull sweaters and matching skirts popped. Colorful flower jumpsuits jumped at the audience. The last model, in his edgy red and black striped dress, wore my favorite outfit. Betsey topped the show off with her signature cartwheel and huge flowers. Betsey Johnson has fall down pat. Have you?

Style Collage: B is for Books (Pride and Prejudice)

Recently I discovered a cool idea online. Inspired by a previous Teen Vouge article, someone writes words for each of the letters of the alphabet. One must then create an outfit or look that has to be related to that word. Excited, I decided to participate. I missed A but I got started on B right away. This week B was for Books. To start with, I found some of my favorite books that had been updated with cool covers. I decided to do my first look using Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice".  After I had the book, I went went searching for the perfect dress. The first place I headed to was ModCloth. Of course, after a quick search the perfect dress was sitting on ModCloth's page. Afterwards, I stayed on the site to search for some matching cream gloves.  Once I had those, I went on to find some dainty gold bird earrings. I knew that matching Victorian boots were a must-have so I raced to find them. Once I had the fabulous boots, I went on to search for a vintage lace parasol. I found it! The vintage beauty was added and I was done with the clothing and accessories. I thought that it would be smashing if I could add a fancy gold and white tea set. I was in luck when I found one from Mikasa. For the little bit of makeup, I picked out a heavenly Vera Wang perfume. The finishing touch was part of a dialogue discussing "Pride and Prejudice". Style Collage: Where o' Where is "Where's Fluffy?"

I fell in love with Nick and Noah's Infinite Playlist as soon as it was released. Recently I decided to make a collage inspired by the character's Norah and Caroline. I started with Norah's casual look. First, I found the perfect red tank by Victoria's Secret. Then I went to look for something similar to Norah's jacket. That was tough! But I think I did pretty good with my find. I topped off the look with cute but comfy jeans. Caroline's look was a bit harder. I started with a short navy mini dress by ASOS. It looked perfect! Next, I picked out a cool leather jacket. Afterwards I made sure to get a few layers of gold necklaces. Here is the complete collage, with a couple of cool stickers:

Tank; Kiss Tees NEW! Essential Tank, $24.50 Victoria's Secret  Jacket; Helmut Lang Denim Silky Wash Jacket, $234.50 Shopbop.com  Jeans; Genetic Denim Adriane Mid Rise Quilted Bell Jeans in Dark Seafoam, $209 Singer22  Leather Jacket; Rally Jacket, $650 All Saints  Dress; ASOS Mini Dress with Open Back, $18.30 ASOS  Chain Necklace; MICHAEL Michael Kors Logo Chain Necklace 36", $165 Bloomingdale's  Multi-Chain Necklace; Mixed Chain Necklace, $20.94 The Limited
Description: Fab outfits for a night out while searching for "Where's Fluffy?" Whether you're casual like Norah, or more of a party girl like Caroline, you'll look fantastic.

See you soon!

Style Collage: Beautiful Brunches

Recently I found this very stunning cuff by Oscar de la Renta. A friend challenged me to incorporate the cuff into an outfit for one of our weekend brunches. I accepted the challenge and began putting together a fabulous look. After I had the cuff I knew I needed navy. I decided I need need something laid back to even out the pop of the cuff. I was in luck when I found this navy Ann Taylor Pencil skirt. A white ruffle blouse was a must have. When I had found the perfect one I went on to shoes. Normally brunches were outside on a patio. This got me thinking about wedges. After a brief search I had some cute strappy wedges to use. For accessories I chose black and silver diamond earrings and a navy and silver clutch. For makeup I rich pink lipstick and a stunning eyeshadow palette were chosen. Here is the complete look.
Shirt; L'Wren Scott Ruffle Blouse, $1,165 Barney's New York  Cuff; Oscar de la Renta Silver-plated enamel and crystal cuff, $595 Net-A-Porter  Earrings; 10K White Gold 1/2 Carat t.w. Diamond Earrings, $299.99 Jared  Eyeshadow; Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow - Gris Gris 034, $59 Sephora  Skirt; Tropical Wool Pencil Skirt in Navy, $118 Ann Taylor  Lipstick; Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Venetian Rose, $25 Dillard's  Clutch; J. Furmani Satin Clutch in Navy, $30 EBags  Shoes; Seychelles Kick Up Your Heels Wedge in Black, $44.93 DSW  Perfume; Philosophy Amazing Grace Concentrated Perfume Spray, 2.0 Fl. Oz., $40 Macy's

Description: Laughing with your friends, the warm summer breeze blows back your hair. Your show-stopping cuff shines as you lift up your glass. Laid back in the chair you stare at your cute wedges as the adorable waiter comes over to the table. You glance up at him and your venetian rose colored lips play a dazzling smile that leaves him breathless as he takes the check. The trees rustle, lifting the scent of your perfume and carrying it across the lawn. You grab your chic navy clutch as you all stand up to say au dieu. Beautiful morning brunches are perfect for you.

Hope you liked it! See you around.

Anne Analysis: Python

      • Me and my friend Chloe from Toronto were having a fashion conversation recently over a hot trend. I decided to paste it here for Anne Analysis so that you could hear our thoughts on this new fall fad. Here's our conversation:
      • Anne: Hi, Chloe! Heard you had a bit of shopping trouble today. Need help?
      • Chloe: Hey. Sure. So python is totally coming in for fall but I'm not really sure how to use it. What are you doing for it?
      • Anne: Actually I probably won't be doing anything.
      • Chloe: Why? Python is super hot this season.
      • Anne: I know. But you know I don't like animal skins and furs. Even faux furs and skins.
      • Chloe: Well, then can you step into my shoes?
      • Anne: Okay, so I'm you.
      • Chloe: Cool. So how would you do python?
      • Anne: Your urban right? Like kinda 80's/90's urban?
      • Chloe: Guess. Sounds about right. Okay got any ideas?
      • Anne: Sure. Here, is there any way to post a picture in the chat box?
      • Chloe: No. I wish!
      • Anne: Ha! That'd be cool. Though of course you'd probably spam my chat box with pics of new boots and jewelry :).
      • Chloe: :) I wouldn't think that it was such a bad thing.
      • Anne: Ha ha ha. Very funny ;).
      • Chloe: So what do you want to do?
      • Anne: I guess I'll just type descriptions of the clothes then.
      • Chloe: 'Kay.
      • Anne: Ummm..... let's see......
      • Anne: Hang on a sec while my computer loads.
      • Chloe: No prob.
      • Anne: 'Kay. I'm guessing that you would start with shoes?
      • Chloe: Of course!!!!
      • Anne: Okay so how about some black platforms?
      • Chloe: Dressy?
      • Anne: Not at all. It's actually looks really funky and cool. Plus the height on these things would make you taller than me :).
      • Chloe: Any shoes that can make me magically taller than you are gonna be first thing in my shopping bag :P. Sounds cool. Okay, now what?
      • Anne: Ha ha :). Let's see........
      • Anne: How about jewelry next?
      • Chloe: Sounds good.
      • Anne: Hmmmm...... how about a small gray and white python bracelet with a gold buckle?
      • Chloe: Sounds cute, but you aren't gonna go all monotone on me are you?
      • Anne: Like you'd ever leave out color!
      • Chloe: :). You know me so well.
      • Anne: Of course I do. Now for color........ let's see.
      • Chloe: Don't go just addin' red lips and tryin' to get away with it :P.
      • Anne: Caught in the act.
      • Chloe: Ha ha :).
      • Anne: Hey, anything to spare me from your oranges.
      • Chloe: Oh the horror of orange!
      • Anne: It may look good with your dark skin but I can't make it work.
      • Chloe: :)
      • Anne: Let's see....... Will red work?
      • Chloe: Sure.
      • Anne: 'Kay. Perfect fit for you.
      • Chloe: Spill.
      • Anne: A red strapless bandage dress. It'll totally boost your curves.
      • Chloe: That's good. I need a boost.
      • Anne: :)
      • Chloe: It doesn't look cheap though right?
      • Anne: No way! Herve Leger beauty.
      • Chloe: Perfect.
      • Anne: :)
      • Anne: Hmmmmm.......... belt?
      • Chloe: Nah. I'm good.
      • Anne: 'Kay.
      • Anne: I'm guessing your hair would be as large as ever.
      • Chloe: Of course. Fresh and funky :).
      • Anne: Ha ha :).
      • Anne: 'Kay. Red lip?
      • Chloe: Sounds good.
      • Anne: Then of course I pick my usual L'Oreal :).
      • Chloe: British Red?
      • Anne: Of course. What else?!
      • Chloe: :)
      • Anne: Hoops?
      • Chloe: Couldn't live without em'.
      • Anne: :). Gold then. You're usual pair will go.
      • Chloe: So far so good. Finishing touch?
      • Anne: Hmmm....... gold chain necklace?
      • Chloe: No........ Actually I think it sounds good.
      • Anne: Cool. I'll email you the finds.
      • Chloe: Perfect.
      • Anne: Sound good?
      • Chloe: Totally! Thanks!
      • Anne: No prob. Anytime. It was a challenge being you.
      • Chloe: Ha.
      • Anne: Gotta run. Talk to you later.
      • Chloe: 'Kay.
